How to press-brake and form CCO plate

  1. Use a wide-set bottom V-die with rounded shoulders and a rounded punch — sharp tooling concentrates strain and cracks the overlay.
  2. Form in small incremental strokes rather than a single deep hit.
  3. With QCLAD™, press perpendicular to the bead direction; FLOWCLAD™ forms in any direction.
  4. Keep the overlay in compression (inside of the bend) wherever possible.
  5. Respect the same minimum radii as rolling — 75 mm (thin) to 1000 mm (thick).
